How we need to have the Eye of the Eagle today with what is coming upon the earth in these closing days of human history. I read an article yesterday about the rise of martyrdom of Christians around the world. The article was focused on the middle East and the murder of thousands of Christians by ISIS and other Islamic groups. This went on unchecked during the 8 years of the Obama administration as everyone knows and instead of giving asylum and aid to Christians from the middle East he chose to import almost exclusively muslims into America. But the article went on to give some statistics regarding just how much the persecution of Christians and imprisonment of us has increased throughout the world and this is a clear fulfillment of what Jesus prophesied.

But there is much more going on here than meets the eye, i.e., the "normal" physical eye. That's why you need to have the Eye of the Eagle as we've preached since 1999 when the Holy Spirit first gave us this terminology. The Lord gave me a message for our church in Libby, Montana, back in 2004 titled, "The Perfect Storm," and I believe we are in that time frame now.

There is great persecution coming to the Church throughout the world and more so in America--the Lord told me so in 2015 that in the future, "the greatest persecution against the Church was going to come from America." Now, I believe the Trump administration, as I wrote many times on the CCI ministry Facebook site that no longer exists, was raised up like a Cyrus to "delay" some of the evil Satan has planned for us but it's not a time to celebrate. Rather, it's a time to prepare for war and what is coming against the Church and Christian families. And most of all, it's a time to recognize that we are not at peace but merely in the Eye of the Storm where there is quiet.

Remember, Jesus Himself gave us a stern warning in what theologians refer to as "The Olivet Discourse" that most preachers never mention because they teach that the Church will be raptured out of the world before this occurs. So let me do a little expository teaching this Sunday morning. Jesus said,

"Take heed that no man deceive you. (Wow! did you get that beginning? He's strongly warning us that there's a grave danger of being deceived by men! That means, my brother and sister, you'd better develop the Eye of the Eagle and know that you are hearing from the Spirit of the Lord today). I submit that one of the greatest areas of assumption and deception "by men" because it's almost universally held, is in the pre-trib doctrine of the rapture of the Church. I wrote an article detailing the Scriptures on this some years ago that you can read in our archives so I won't rehash it here.

"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." (Notice He said, "Many" and I submit that we've never lived in a day like today where there are so many false ministries and false churches throughout the world and I'm not talking about White Garment type false churches; I'm talking about those who use the Name of Jesus but do not preach or "do" the genuine Word. Remember, He didn't say that they would claim to be Jesus, although some no doubt do, but He said they would "come in my name" and say, "I am Christ" like the Balaam boys on T.V. do to get you to send the "ministry" they are whoring for $1,000. Don't forget, the Greek word here Christ means "anointed" and they claim to be anointed by God but the fact is, dear ones, unless you have a good gift of Discerning of Spirits you will not recognize that anointing because it is so close to the real thing that I've seen pastors I admired be fooled by it. Notice also He said that these falsely anointed ones "shall deceive many" and we know that's the case 'cause so many send their hard earned $ to these whores and as I shared almost 30 years ago in MSDK, it's one way Satan keeps God's money out of the hands of genuine ministries.)

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (War is a sign of conflict; there will always be war until the real Prince of Peace takes control of the earth and then as Isaiah prophesied, there will be peace even in the animal kingdom, pretty amazing will that time be).

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." (And in case you don't know it, famine is coming to America; I don't have the timing on it yet but we've known about it for decades just like we have the coming financial collapse. Many years ago I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, "The land of plenty shall have plenty no more." So, like in Joseph's day, we have a period of time to prepare for what is coming and if we are wise we will do so.) I'm reminded of something the Lord told me back in 1980 about this time. He said, "The power of the devil will become so strong that only those who are strong in the Word and faith will survive."

"All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." (Now, clearly Jesus is talking about the Church here because only the Church names the Name of Jesus so the Church is still around during this time, i.e., the "beginning of sorrows," isn't it?)

"And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." (Notice the only ones He said would be "saved"; those who "endure unto the end." He is prophesying about a day when there would be so much sin and lawlessness and betrayal, even among Christians, that "the love of many shall wax cold.")

So what is our response to be to these key words of Jesus that pertain to the years just ahead? We need to prepare. And how do you prepare? Well, first of all, you need to know what's coming, right?

What if I came to your house in Missoula, Montana, to visit and even though there's still snow on the ground I see you out front with a huge supply of plywood boarding up the windows? I ask you, "What are you doing brother Jones?" And you reply, "What do you think I'm doing; I'm getting ready for the hurricane that's going to hit next week."

Well, I'm going to give you that "deer in the headlights look" because when was the last time a hurricane hit Missoula, Montana? How about never! So perhaps you are preparing for the wrong thing or else I am, right? Who has the Eye of the Eagle? You must have the Eye of the Eagle to know what to prepare for. It won't do you any good to prepare for a tornado if a famine is coming.

Remember Jesus' words in the gospels: "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man ..."

In Noah's day, he spent about 60 years building the ark it would seem, and all this time people were thinking he'd "lost it" because there was no body of water anywhere close, not to mention the fact that such a huge structure could not have been moved in those days. But Hebrews shares something important for us to understand for our day and Jesus' prophecy about the similarity between now and Noah's day,

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house: by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."

Notice closely the exact words and open your eagle eyes to see: 1) Noah was "being warned of God," and even though God found him to be a good man he had to possess "faith" to heed this warning; I submit that Jesus has warned us today in Matthew 24 of what is coming and we must have "faith" to heed this warning and prepare as Noah did, 2) Notice what God warned him about, "things not seen as yet"; this is a Word of Wisdom from 1 Cor. 12. Well, haven't we been warned by Jesus in Matthew 24 about "things not seen as yet?" Doubtly so and if we have the Eye of the Eagle we see the similarity between now and Noah's day.

Our prayer at CCI is that you develop the Eye of the Eagle. We have many teaching articles on the website archives and in CD messages in the bookstore to help you with this but don't delay during this lull before the storm. Remember, if you've ever ridden through a genuine hurricane as I did Alicia then you know that after the first wall hits there is complete calm when the eye of the hurricane passes over your house. I even went out into the front yard and was so amazed to look up at the clear, blue sky and feel the calmness but then the back wall--the most destructive portion of the hurricane hits after the calm and we need to be ready for what is coming just ahead.

It's important that you prepare yourself and your family, especially your own children. We need to be prepared for martydom should it come and this is difficult to explain to young children we may have at home but there is a coming day when many Christians, including children, will face a choice--deny Christ or die. We must prepare for that day using the Eye of the Eagle while we're still in the Eye of the Storm.
