Meetings and Conferences

We firmly believe that all meetings and conferences held should only be done if there is clear direction from the Holy Spirit.  When Brother Timmons first went to Nigeria in 1988 for 3 1/2 months when he returned home to Austin and was going through his mail he picked up an issue of a well-known Christian magazine and thumbed through it.  On almost every page was an advertisement for a church or ministry conference with expensive rooms rates and registration fees.

He noticed one in Dallas that was being held at the Hyatt Regency with a special room rate of $129 per night.  He said, "Lord, for $129 I can feed a pastor and his whole family in Nigeria for a year."  The Holy Spirit spoke up very loudly and said, "The world is going to hell and all these churches are doing is having conferences."

My brothers and sisters if you have the Eye of the Eagle you can clearly see that this is the work of religious spirits.  Therefore, like the messages we bring where we never have preached the same message twice in all these years of ministry we believe a church meeting or conference should only be undertaken with the clear mandate of the Holy Spirit with a specific purpose of His choosing.

We also believe that there should never be a charge (registration fee, etc. for ministry). Jesus first preached the gospel to the poor and many would not have been touched by Jesus had He charged "registration fees" and other nonsense during the days of His ministry.

In addition, although we don't see anything wrong with receiving offerings if  it is done honestly without any attempt to manipulate people into giving,  Since the inception of CCI, we have always been led of the Lord to operate the ministry this way and will never change.

We very much believe what Hudson Taylor said many years ago, "God's work done God's way will never lack for God's provision."  If God really tells you to do it then He will provide the finances.

We receive hundreds of invitations a year to minister in Africa alone and after much prayer and fasting we've accepted an invitation to minister in the capital city of Rwanda at a Festival of Hope next year.  Thousands of ministers will be in attendance from scores of African nations and we expect the Lord's anointing and impartation for a move of God that will shake the entire continent.  These meetings and crusades will be in the capital city of Rwanda August 9-15, 2010. In addition to thousands of ministers in attendance for teaching & training, Bishop Denis is expecting several hundred thousand to be in attendance at the crusade each night.
